Freshman Matt Craven sets new school record as Men’s Track and Field competes in Polar Bear Last Chance Meet

ADA –Freshman Matt Craven finished fourth and broke the 60-meter hurdles record Saturday afternoon to lead the Ohio Northern men's track and field as they team competed in the Polar Bear Last Chance Meet.
The meet was not scored.
Craven broke the previous 60-meter hurdle record, set by junior Robbie Brinkman earlier in the season, with a time of 8.66 seconds.
Senior Ryan Brancheau took second place in the triple jump with a jump of 12.84m. Brancheau also took fifth place in high jump, after jumping 1.94m.
In the 800-meter run, freshman Matt Molinaro took third place, finishing in 1:53.75.
In the weight throw, sophomore Lucas Shumate took fourth place with a final throw of 17.73m.
Junior Denorris Turner took fourth place in the 60-meter dash in 7.22 seconds.
Senior Kyle Wagner took fifth place in the men's 1 mile run in 4:30.56.
Freshman Conner Karg took fifth place in the 400-meter dash in 51.32 seconds.
The Polar Bears wrapped up their regular season and will await the final standings for the NCAA Division III Championships to be held March 13-14 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
