Sam Sran finishes 6-0 to lead Men’s Tennis at Denison Invitational

GRANVILLE — Sophomore Sam Sran (Punjab, India/St. Stephens and Gian Jyoti Global) closed out a perfect 6-0 weekend to lead the Ohio Northern men's tennis team on the second and final day of the Denison Invitational on Sunday at the Denison Tennis Courts.
Sran went 2-0 in doubles play and 1-0 in singles on Sunday after going 2-0 in singles and 1-0 in doubles on Saturday.
Freshman Nico Rogel (Alicante, Spain/Hoosac) was also 3-0 on Sunday, going 2-0 in doubles and 1-0 in singles.
Junior Kavya Desai (Bloomfield Hills, Mich.) was a perfect 3-0 on the day, going 1-0 in doubles and 2-0 in singles.
Sophomores Tristan Munteanu (Drpaer, Utah/Corner Canyon) and Drew Swisher (Findlay) both finished 2-1 on Sunday.
There is no team scoring.
Over the course of the two-day event, Rogel finished second to Sran on the team with a 5-1 record, going 3-0 in doubles and 2-1 in singles.
Desai was 5-1 overall, and Swisher was 4-2.
The Polar Bears return to the court on Saturday, Oct. 1, for the first of two days in the Ohio Northern Challenge.
