Men's Tennis improves to 5-1 with 7-2 victory at Emory & Henry (Va.)

BRISTOL, Tenn. — The Ohio Northern men's tennis team posted a 7-2 victory over Emory & Henry (Va.) on Sunday morning at th Bristol Racquet Club.
The Polar Bears improve to 5-1 on the season and are 2-0 on their Spring Break trip, while the Wasps fall to 1-4.
Sophomore Jake Abbott (Kenton) and freshman Tyler Frantz (Bellefontaine) led Ohio Northern.
Abbott won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 4 singles, Frantz won 6-2, 6-2 at No. 5 singles and the duo combined to win 8-6 at No. 2 doubles.
David Hayman (Westerville/South) and Cody Hurley (Centerville) also combined for three victories on the day.
Hayman won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3 singles, Hurley won 6-2, 6-1 at No. 6 singles and the pair won 8-0 at No. 3 doubles.
Sophomore Tim Kargl (Downers Grove, Ill./South) and freshman Andrew Garcia (Downers Grove, Ill./South) won 8-6 at No. 1 doubles to complete the sweep of the doubles matches for ONU.
The Polar Bears will continue their Spring Break trip on Monday at 3 pm against Drew (N.J.) at Hilton Head Island, S.C.
