Men's Tennis wins fourth straight; tops Marietta 7-2 at OAC Tennis Fest

MASON -- Senior John Mostowy and freshman David Hayman each posted 6-0, 6-0 victories to lead the Ohio Northern men's tennis team to a 7-2 victory over Marietta on Sunday morning at the Lindner Family Tennis Center.
The Polar Bears improve to 5-10 overall and are 2-3 in Ohio Athletic Conference action, while the Pioneers fall to 9-14, 1-5.
Northern posted a perfect 3-0 record at the 2016 OAC Tennis Fest and extended its winning streak to four matches.
Mostowy won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 singles and Hayman won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3 singles.
Freshmen Tim Kargl and Jake Abbott each posed three set wins, with Kargl winning 6-0, 4-6, 10-8 at No. 2 singles and Abbott winning 5-7, 6-0, 10-7 at No. 4 singles.
Northern took a quick 3-0 lead by sweeping the three doubles courts.
Mostowy and Kargl won 8-4 at No. 1 doubles, junior Alex Genbauffe and Hayman won 8-3 at No. 2 doubles and Abbott and junior Dan Warren won 8-3 at No. 3 doubles.
The Polar Bears will return home on Tuesday for a 3:30 pm match against OAC foe Baldwin Wallace.
