ORLANDO, Fla. — Junior John Mostowy picked up his third win of the season at No. 1 singles on Wednesday, but it was not enough as the Ohio Northern men's tennis team dropped an 8-1 decision to St. John's (Minn.) at the Lane Cane Tennis Center.
The Polar Bears fall to 1-5 on the season, while the Johnnies improve to 3-2.
Mostowy won 6-2, 6-3 and is now 3-3 on the year at the top singles spot.
The No. 1 doubles team of Mostowy and senior Sam Prewitt suffered its first loss of the season (8-4) to fall to 5-1 on the campaign.
Ohio Northern will return home and will begin Ohio Athletic Conference action March 21 at 1 pm at Heidelberg.
