Saturday, Sept. 7 at 7:30 p.m. … Northern enters the invitational with a 0-1-1 record following a 2-2 draw at Lake Forest (Ill.) last Friday in the season opener and a 3-0 loss to North Central (Ill.) on Sunday … Junior midfielder Jimmy Walkinshaw netted both of the Polar Bears' goals over the holiday weekend … Senior forward Noah Bachwitz and junior forward Mitch Colvin were the players credited with assists on Walkinshaw's scores … Sophomore goaltender John Lombardo managed to turn away five of seven shots on target Friday prior to recording five saves Sunday … Hope enters the invitational with a 2-0 record, having outscored its opponents 7-1, and Clavin comes in with a 1-1 record.

Series Record: The Polar Bears own a 3-2-1 all-time record against Hope. The Flying Dutch claimed a 1-0 victory in 2018, which snapped a three-game win streak for the Polar Bears in the all-time series. Northern holds a 2-8-1 record versus Calvin, and the Knights have won the last three matches — the most recent occurring in 2016 — while the Polar Bears last victory happened in 2007.
