ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- The Ohio Northern men's lacrosse team wrapped up its spring break trip with an 11-4 loss at Nazareth (N.Y.) on Saturday afternoon at NLPA Field.
The Polar Bears fall to 4-2 while the Golden Flyers improve to 3-2.
Sophomore Ben Gawronski (Dublin/Scioto) scored two of ONU's four goals.
NU scored four times in the first 6:31 to grab a quick 4-0 lead.
Gawronski scored just before the end of the first quarter to get the Polar Bears on the board.
But Nazareth would score five of the next six goals to grab a 9-2 lead with 5:37 left in the third quarter.
NU out-shot ONU 58-31, but freshman goalie Cole Zaferakis (Liverpool, N.Y.) stopped 15 of the 26 shots on goal he faced, a save percentage of .577.
The Polar Bears will return to action March 14 when they host Alma (Mich.) at Dial-Roberson Stadium.
