Bio

Bob Rohan is in his 13th season as an assistant coach at Ohio Northern.

Rohan is also an instructor in ONU’s human performance and sport science department and is the head men's tennis coach at ONU.

Rohan, who has 21 years of coaching experience, joins the Polar Bears after a three-year stint as an assistant coach at Ashland, where he coached quarterbacks and specialists.

He also had assistant coaching stints at Clarion (Pa.) from 1997-99, Frostburg State (Md.) from 1993-96, Catholic (D.C.) in 1992, Maryland in 1991 and at Bishop McNamara H.S. from 1987-90.

Most of his coaching experience has been on offense with quarterbacks, specialists and as a coordinator, but has coached on both side of the ball.

He received his bachelor’s degree in physical education from Maryland in 1992 and his master’s degree from Frostburg State in health and physical education in 1996.

Rohan played safety at Salisbury State (Md.) in 1985 and helped his squad to the regional finals that year.

As a freshman, he played quarterback for Shepherd (W.Va.) in 1983.

Rohan and his wife, Amy, have six children; Sarah, Daniel, Greg, Matthew and twins Anna and Rachel.
