All-American Christiaan Williams named OAC Offensive Player of the Week for the sixth time in his career

ADA — Ohio Northern junior All-American running back Christiaan Williams (Sidney/Anna) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Football Offensive Player of the Week for his efforts in Ohio Northern's 49-0 victory over Capital on Saturday.
Williams was named the Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season and the sixth time in his career.
Williams became the first Ohio Northern player to run for 1,000 yards in three different seasons as he carried the ball 25 times for 218 yards and three touchdowns, giving him a league-leading 1,018 yards in seven games this season.
He ran for 1,623 yards as a sophomore in 2017 and 1,208 yards as a freshman in 2016. He ranks second all-time in ONU history with 3,847 career rushing yards in just 26 games.
The Polar Bears will return to action on Nov. 2 at Mount Union.
