Baseball to open 2023 schedule March 4-5 with three-game series against Oberlin

ADA — The Ohio Northern baseball team will open its 2023 season March 4-5 with a three-game series against Oberlin under 12th-year head coach Gene Stechschulte.
Northern plans to host Oberlin in a double header March 4 with one game at Oberlin on March 5.
The annual spring break trip to Florida will follow the week of March 11-19.
ONU will host Denison on March 23 before beginning Ohio Athletic Conference play on March 25 at Baldwin Wallace.
Northern has non-conference home games scheduled with Bluffton, Wittenberg and Ohio Wesleyan with road trips to Trine (Ind.) and Defiance on the non-league schedule.
The Polar Bears' remaining OAC doubleheaders include home matchups with Marietta (April 1), Wilmington (April 11), John Carroll (April 15) and Mount Union (April 30) and road dates at Muskingum (April 7), Otterbein (April 19), Capital (April 22) and Heidelberg (May 6).
The OAC Tournament is slated for May 11-13 at the home of the regular-season champion.
Northern posted a 19-21 record in 2022 and finished the OAC with a 7-11 mark.
