The Ohio Northern men's basketball team won the 1992-93 NCAA Division III National Championship under first-year head coach Joe Campoli.
The Polar Bears finished 28-2 on the season and won the OAC Regular Season title with a 17-1 record.
Ohio Northern posted double-digit wins in the first three NCAA tournament games, defeating Wooster 88-62, Christopher Newport (Va.) 83-67 and Calvin (Mich.) 67-56.
The Polar Bears then edged Massachusetts-Dartmouth 74-73 in the semifinals and topped Augustana (Ill.) 71-68 in the championship game, which was played in Buffalo, N.Y.
ONU's squad featured OAC Player of the Year Mark Gooden and future OAC Players of the Year D'Artis Jones and Nick Bertke.
Jones was named the National Player of the Year as a senior in 1995.
Aaron Madry and Tony Vogel were also named All-OAC in 1992-93.
