Women's Cross Country: Ohio Northern (32-6 Overall) at All-Ohio Championships at Cedarville

ONU Race Notes: The Ohio Northern women's cross country team will compete in the All-Ohio Championships on Friday afternoon at Cedarville's on-campus cross country course ... The women's 6k race is set to begin at 2:45 pm, following the men's 8k race, which begins at 2 pm ... There is also a Men's Open race at 3:30 pm and a Women's Open race at 4:15 pm ... Up to nine runners may compete on each team in the varsity races with the remainder of the runners competing in the Open races ... Parking for the event will cost $7.00 per vehicle (cash only), which will go towards the upkeep of the course ... This year's All-Ohio Championships marks the 37th consecutive season for the women's race ... Northern is coming off a successful outing at the Tiffelberg Open on Sept. 16,, where the Polar Bears finished first of nine teams, improving their record to 32-6 on the season ... Junior Ashlie Baumann led Ohio Northern across the finish line, finishing third of 91 runners in a season-best 6k time of 22:49 ... Junior Colleen Grainger also posted a top-10 finish, finishing the race in tenth in 23:59 ... All seven of ONU's top-7 finishers placed in the top-26 as sophomore Zoe Schilling finished 13th in a career-fastest time of 24:09, freshman Megan Wright finished 14th in a career-best 24:12, junior Avery Ewing finished 19th in 24:28, junior Angie Sullivan finished 20th in 24:47 and freshman Chyanne Retcher finished 26th in a career-best time of 24:59.
Head Coach Jason Maus: Maus is in his 9th season as head coach with a 719-322 record, a winning percentage of .691 ... Maus is 29 victories shy of tying former head coach Brian Cole as the winningest head women's cross country coach in school history.
