GATE MILLS — The Ohio Northern women's Cross Country team finished 5th of 10 teams at the OAC Championship held at John Carroll University on Saturday morning at the soggy Gilmour Academy course.

The Polar Bears (69-59 overall) finished with 114 points.

Seniors Samantha Hoffman and Raechel Moore earned All-OAC honors by posting top-18 finishes at the meet.

Hoffman led ONU across the finish line with a 10th place finish out of 125 runners over the 6,000-meter course in 24:55 and Moore finished 17th in 25:21.

Junior Kara Sosinski was 31st in 25:54, freshman Alexis Kandel was 32nd in 25:56 and freshman Emily Richards was 33rd in 26:02 for Ohio Northern.

Catie Campbell of Mount Union won the race with a time of 23:59.

Mount Union won the OAC championship team title with 24 points, Otterbein was second with 69 points, John Carroll third with 89 points, Heidelberg was fourth with 100 points, and Ohio Northern rounded out the top five with 114 points.

Ohio Northern will take next weekend off in preparation for the NCAA Div. III regional's Nov. 15 at Wilmington.
