Women's Cross Country finishes 22nd of 40 teams at Oberlin Inter-Regional Rumble

OBERLIN — The Ohio Northern women's cross country team finished 22nd out of 40 teams at the Oberlin Inter-Regional Rumble Saturday morning at the Oberlin Cross Country Course.

The Polar Bears (64-56 overall) finished with 628 points.

Senior Samantha Hoffman led ONU across the finish line with a 67th place finish out of 341 runners in 23:49 over the 6,000-meter course.

Senior Raechel Moore was 117th in 24:30, freshman Kirsten Harder was 146th in 24:52, freshman Alexis Kandel was 173rd in 25:12, and senior Catie Huber was 191st in 25:19 for ONU.

Geneseo State's Cassie Goodman won the race in 22:02.

Geneseo State won the team title with 54 points, Oneonta was second with 125 points, Oberlin was third with 148 points, and Case Western was fourth with 204 points.

Ohio Northern will take next weekend off in preparation for the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships Nov. 1 at Gilmour Academy.
