Women's Cross Country moves up to No. 30 in seventh USTFCCCA poll

ADA — The Ohio Northern women's cross country team moved up to No. 30 in the seventh weekly poll in voting conducted by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
The Polar Bears (80-21) were ranked No. 35 in last week's poll, were No. 29 in the fifth poll, were No. 27 in the fourth poll, were No. 25 in the third poll, were No. 19 in the second poll, were No. 20 in the first poll and were No. 16 in the preseason poll.
Northern received 49 points, 30 more than the 19 points it received in the sixth weekly poll on Oct. 17.
The top four spots remained the same, with MIT at No. 1, Johns Hopkins (Md.) at No. 2, Williams (Mass.) at No. 3 and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (Calif.) at No. 4.
The Polar Bears won their third consecutive Ohio Athletic Conference Championships last Saturday at Wilmington. ONU will return to action Nov. 10 with the NCAA III Great Lakes Regional Championships at Anderson, Ind.
