Senior Erin Wagner named OAC Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week for third time this season

ADA — Senior Erin Wagner (Massillon/Perry) was named Ohio Athletic Conference Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 23-29.
This marks Wagner's third OAC Player of the week accolade this season and sixth of her career.
The recognition comes after she joined the 1,000-Kill Club and was named ONU Invitational Tournament MVP after she totaled 84 kills in five matches this week while hitting an average of .457.
In a 3-1 win at Albion (Mich.) on Tuesday, Wagner had a match-high 19 kills with three blocks and hit .447.
On the first day of the 45th Annual ONU Invitational on Friday, Wagner had a match-high 14 kills with seven digs and hit .440 in a sweep of Westminster (Pa.) and had a match-high 20 kills with five blocks while hitting .514 in a 3-1 victory over Wheaton (Ill.).
To finish the ONU Invitational on Saturday, Wagner had a match-high 10 kills and hit .444 in a sweep of Manchester (Ind.) where she joined the 1,000-Kill Club early in the second set, and had a match-high 21 kills with six blocks and hit .439 in a 3-1 victory over Hanover (Ind.).
In her career, Wagner has a hitting percentage of .332, which is ranked fourth all-time in ONU history.
The Polar Bears (12-3 overall) return to action on Friday when they host No. 18-ranked Marietta at 7:00 p.m. to begin OAC play.
