Overview: Melina is in her second season at Ohio Northern after transferring from Canisius ... In her first season at Northern, as a junior, she played in all 16 matches and made 13 starts ... Led the Polar Bears with 187 kills and 44 blocks, which ranked 11th and fourth, respectively, in the Ohio Athletic Conference and tallied 71 digs and hit .329 ... Earned All-Ohio Athletic Conference and Academic All-OAC recognition ... Named Sports Imports/AVCA National Player of the Week on 4/8/21 ... Enters senior season with career-highs of 18 kills, 24 digs and 8 blocks ... In two seasons as a right side hitter at Canisius, Woods had 326 kills, 40 aces, 54 blocks, 178 digs and hit .216 ... Had two double-doubles and had 12 double-digit kill matches ... She played in 43 matches with 36 starts ... Has only used two years of athletic eligibility, as the 2020 season was shortened due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
