Volleyball moves up 3 spots to No. 19 in fourth weekly AVCA poll

ADA — The Ohio Northern volleyball team moved up three spots to No. 19 in the fourth weekly American Volleyball Coaches Association poll, released Tuesday afternoon.
The Polar Bears (14-3) received 447 points in the poll, which is 179 more than the 268 they received last week when they were ranked No. 22.
ONU was ranked No. 22 in the preseason poll, was No. 25 in the first weekly poll and No. 22 in the third weekly poll last week.
Northern went 5-0 last week with a 4-set win at home over Kenyon and a 4-0 record at the OAC/HCAC Challenge at Baldwin Wallace.
Wittenberg stayed in the top spot in the poll with 1,666 points and 58 first place votes, Colorado College is second with 1,594 points and the remaining eight first place votes and Emory (Ga.) is third with 1,511.
The Polar Bears will return to action Tuesday with a 7 pm match at Denison.
