ADA — Sophomore Claire Heitkamp had 10 kills to lead Ohio Northern in a 25-18, 25-22, 25-16 loss to Heidelberg Tuesday evening at the ONU Sports Center.
The Polar Bears fall to 15-9 overall and are 3-3 in Ohio Athletic Conference play, while the Student Princes improve to 16-11, 5-2.
Northern hit .167 with 37 kills and 15 errors, while Heidelberg hit .268 with 54 kills and 16 errors.
Sophomore Ashley Borchers dished out 32 assists, freshman Lauren Hulette had a team-high 21 digs and junior Kaitlann Hogrefe had eight kills and hit a team-high .280.
Heidelberg was led by Janessa Scott with 15 kills and Sarah Parker with 11 kills.
The Polar Bears will take to the road for the next week, playing at Muskingum on Saturday and at Baldwin Wallace next Tuesday.
Northern will wrap up its regular season on Nov. 1 on Senior Day at 1 pm against Marietta at the ONU Sports Center.
The OAC Tournament will be Nov. 4-8.
