ADA — Freshman Hannah Davis had 12 kills and 10 blocks to lead Ohio Northern to a non-conference volleyball victory over Denison Tuesday night at the ONU Sports Center.
The Polar Bears improve to 11-6 on the season after the 25-23, 25-18, 20-25, 25-22 victory over the Big Red (6-8).
Junior Ellie Gillespie also had 12 kills and added five blocks for ONU.
Northern finished the match with an impressive 18 blocks, accounting for more than half of DU's hitting errors.
The Polar Bears finished the match hitting .188 with 48 kills and 17 errors, while the Big Red hit .150 with 59 kills and 31 errors.
Freshman Megan Nieszala had a team-high 33 digs, while freshmen Lauren Huelette had 23 asissts and freshman Breanna Dee had 19 assists.
Elena Lein had a match-high 13 kills to lead Denison.
The Polar Bears will take some needed time off this weekend and will return to action next Tuesday in a 7 pm match against Defiance the final non-conference match of the regular season.
