TIFFIN — The Ohio Northern Volleyball squad fell 3-0 to fifth-ranked Heidelberg in a conference match Tuesday evening at Seiberling Gymnasium.
Falling 25-19, 25-16 and 25-16, the Polar Bears move to 13-15 overall with a 4-4 mark in the OAC. Heidelberg improves to 28-2 overall and remains undefeated in the league with a 9-0 record.
Sophomore Julia Fuerst led Northern with eight kills on a .467 clip, followed by Kristen Davidson with six kills.
Freshman Amanda Volosin had 20 assists, while sophomore Hannah Livengood and freshman Rachel Olach each recorded an ace.
Defensively, junior Ellen Grenert had three blocks, while sophomore Jeni Kmic and Livengood had 18 and 11 digs, respectively.
For the Berg, Amber Welfle had a match-high 15 kills, followed by Marian Bevington with 12.
Ohio Northern closes out the regular season Friday when it hosts Marietta at 7 p.m.
