Yoder and Olach record double-digit kills to lead Volleyball to 3-1 win at Wilmington
WILMINGTON — The Ohio Northern volleyball team evened its conference record Tuesday night with a 3-1 win at Wilmington in Fred Raizk Arena.
Northern won 25-19, 23-25, 25-9 and 25-14 to move to 12-14 overall and 3-3 in the Ohio Athletic Conference. The Quakers fell to 10-15 overall and 1-6 in the OAC.
Leading the offensive charge for ONU was sophomore Cenzie Yoder with 12 kills on a .308 hitting percentage. Freshman Rachel Olach followed up with 11 kills on a .412 clip.
Junior Ellen Grenert, and sophomores Kristen Davidson and Nicole Pottkotter each chipped in nine kills.
Freshman Amanda Volosin recorded a match-high 45 assists, while sophomore Jeni Kmic served off three of the team's seven aces, in addition to her 16 digs.
Additional defensive efforts came from Yoder and Olach who each had three total blocks.
On the other side of the net, Wilmington's Sara Fisher led the match with 13 kills followed by Anne Keenan's eight.
Next up for the Polar Bears is a home match Friday night against John Carroll at 7 p.m.
