Women's Track and Field wraps up regular season at Ashland Alumni Open

ASHLAND — The Ohio Northern women's track and field team wrapped up its regular season at the non-scoring Ashland Alumni Open meet on Saturday.

- Sophomore Claire Schweller (Paulding) placed 7th in the pole vault with a career-best height of 3.86 meters.
- Junior Tarrah BeVier (Johnstown/Northridge) and freshman Katie Floyd (Swanton) both threw their personal-bests in the javelin with throws of 34.28 meters and 32.96 meters, respectively.
- BeVier placed 6th and Floyd placed 8th.
- Senior Olesya Mertz (Johnstown) finished 5th in the 1500 run in 4:57.59.
- Junior Olyvia Ashbrook (Johnstown/Northridge) placed 6th in the 400 hurdles in 1:06.91.
- Junior Chloe Gibson (Ostrander/Buckeye Valley) was 7th in the long jump with a jump of 5.31 meters.
- Junior Madison Bolyard jumped 9.28 meters in the triple jump to finish 5th.
- Junior Hannah Friend (Luckey/Eastwood) had a throw of 41.58 meters to finish 5th in the shot put.
- Junior Izzy Burman (Benton Ridge/Liberty Benton) placed 8th in shot put with a throw of 12.70 meters and placed 9th in discus with a throw of 38.71 meters.
- The 4x100-meter relay team ran a 48.88 to place 4th out of seven teams.
- The 4x400-meter relay team placed 3rd of five teams in 4:13.08.
- Freshman Paige Simpson (Merrillville, Ind.) was 12th of 54 in the 200 in a personal best :25.79.

- Schweller is now tied for third all-time at ONU in the pole vault with a height of 12-8.00.
- Schweller cleared her previous career-best height in the pole vault by 1.75". She now ranks seventh nationally in the event.
- BeVier moves to tenth all-time in the javelin with her throw of 112-5.
- Simpson moves into 6th place all-time in ONU history in the 200 with her :25.79 effort.
- Head Coach Jason Maus is in his 15th year at Ohio Northern and is 481-173-3 for women's outdoor track and field for a winning percentage of .734.
- He is 991-341-4 in both the indoor and outdoor seasons in ONU women's track and field.
