DELAWARE — Freshman Paige Simpson (Merrillville, Ind.) led the Ohio Northern women's outdoor track and field team to a victory the 12-team All-Ohio Championships on Friday and Saturday.

- Ohio Northern's split-squad placed 1st out of 12 teams with 146 points.
- Ohio Wesleyan finished second with 132 points and Case Western Reserve got third with 104 points.
Top ONU Performers
- Simpson was the anchor of the winning 4x100m relay, 2nd in the 100 dash and 3rd in the 200 dash.
- The 4x100 relay won in 49.17 seconds and included Gibson, junior Kendra Krichbaum (Ashland), sophomore Stacey Legg (Monroeville) and Simpson.
- Simpson and Krichbaum finished 2nd and 3rd respectively in the 100 dash.
- Simpson placed 3rd in the 200 dash with a time of 26.02 seconds.
- Sophomore Natalie Armbruster (Cincinnati/Mount Notre Dame) won the 3000m steeplechase in 11:48.86.
- Junior Chloe Gibson (Ostrander/Buckeye Valley) won the Long Jump with a jump of 5.32m.
- In the 5000 run senior Megan Vapenik (Strongsville) placed 2nd and sophomore Dani Widmark (Zanesfield/Benjamin Logan) placed 3rd.
- Senior J.J. Herron (Miamisburg) earned 2nd and junior Olyvia Ashbrook (Johnstown/Northridge) finished 3rd in the 400 Hurdles.
- Ashbrook also placed 2nd in the 100 Hurdles in 15.56 seconds.
- Freshman Anna Brady (Sidney) snatched 3rd placed in Shot Put with a toss of 11.49m.
Notables
- Ohio Northern competed with a split squad as some of the team is at Bucknell University this weekend.
- Brady nearly missed 2nd place by 1 cm.
- Simpson is now 8th on the top 10 all-time list.
- Head Coach Jason Maus is in his 15th year at Ohio Northern and is 684-161 for men's outdoor track and field for a winning percentage of .809.
