Friday's Meet: The Ohio Northern women's track and field team will compete at the Baldwin Wallace Harrison Dillard Twilight Meet on Friday at Finnie Stadium ... Field events will start at 2 pm while running events are TBA ... Athletes from all 10 OAC schools are expected to compete at the non-scoring meet ... The meet is one of two last chance meets ONU will compete in to try make the NCAA III Championships field which includes the top 19 individuals in each event ... The Polar Bears are coming off a fourth place finish at the OAC Championships last weekend at Heidelberg ... Freshman Hope Stanley won the OAC title in the javelin, bettering her career mark by nearly four meters ... Stanley threw the javelin 35.72 meters to win the event, a full 3.80 meters further than her previous career best of 31.92 meters ... In all, 11 Polar Bears earned All-Conference honors with top-3 finishes ... Eight Polar Bears are expected to compete on Friday, five of which are All-OAC honorees ... On the national level, the NCAA announced field sizes of 19 individuals and 14 relay teams for the 2021 NCAA Championships May 27-29 at Greensboro, N.C. ... Senior Stella DeWitt is 18th in the long jump (5.60m) ... Several other ONU athletes are competing on Friday and are close to qualifying ... Senior Kylie Vestal currently ranks 25th in the 3,000 steeplechase (11:20.65) ... Junior Kayla Silva is 32nd in the 100 (:12.25) ... In the 5,000-meter run, junior Tessa Pitcovich is 49th (17:51.80) ... Sophomore Anna Schatzle is 38th in the pole vault (3.45m) ... Senior Kathleen Colvin (5,000), junior Tessa Pitcovich (5,000) and freshman J.J. Herron (800) are also competing on Friday.
