Saturday's Meet: The Ohio Northern women's track and field team will continue its 2021 outdoor season on Saturday at the 5-team Heidelberg Greg Tyson, Jr., Invitational at Hoernemann Stadium ... Wilmington, Heidelberg, Baldwin Wallace at Marietta are slated to join Ohio Northern with field events starting at 10 am and running events at 11 a.m. ... The top 8 places will score points in the team standings (10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1) ... The Polar Bears are coming off a second place finish at the 5-team Polar Bear Spring Invitational last Saturday at Kerscher Stadium ... Seven different ONU athletes won four field events, two distance races and the 400 hurdles on the day ... Junior Tessa Pitcovich and Rue Whitmore were 1-2 in the 3,000-meters in 10:40.10 and 10:50.63, respectively ... Senior Kathleen Colvin won the 5,000-meter run in 18:32.54 and senior Stella DeWitt won the long jump with a leap of 5.60 meters ... DeWitt's jump is currently the third-best in the NCAA Division III this season ... Junior Mackenzie Detmer won the triple jump with a distance of 9.86 meters ... Freshmen J.J. Herron, Sydnee Perram and Hope Stanley also won events ... Herron won the 400 hurdles in 1:08.71, Perram won the high jump by clearing 1.49 meters and Stanley won the javelin with a heave of 30.91 meters.
