This Weekend's Preview: The Ohio Northern women's track and field team will compete in the All-Ohio Championships on Saturday afternoon, hosted by Ohio Wesleyan ... The Polar Bears enter the meet ranked No. 10 in the latest United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association power rankings ... The meet will kick off at 10 a.m. with the women's hammer throw and the men's 10,000-meter run ... Junior Ashlie Baumann will compete in the Bucknell Bison Outdoor Classic on Saturday in the 10,000-meter run at the meet ... Senior Emily Richards enters the meet after another stellar performance last week, besting her nation and all-division leading 800-meter run time, posting a second place finish at the 39th Annual Sun Angel Classic in Tempe, Ariz. in 2:02.84 ... Richards garnered her ninth career Div. III USTFCCCA Women's National Track Athlete of the Week honor for her efforts ... She was also named the Ohio Athletic Conference Track Athlete of the Week ... At the George Glass Invitational, sophomore Taylor Lavey and juniors Taylor Fisher and Maddy Reed each posted first place finishes to lead the way ... Lavey led the Polar Bears with a first place finish in the 200-meter dash, winning the event in :26.06, while freshman Stella DeWitt finished fourth in the event in :27.11 ... In the 400-meter run, Lavey added a second place finish to her afternoon in 1:01.25 ... Fisher led a 1-2-3 punch in the 400-meter hurdles as she finished first in 1:08.26 ... Reed posted a first place finish in the pole vault, winning the event with a jump of 3.75 meters ... Richards currently leads the nation among Div. III schools in the 800 and 1,500-meter runs and is sixth nationally in the 400-meter dash ... Reed currently ranks fourth nationally in the pole vault.
