Preview: The No. 14-ranked Ohio Northern women's outdoor track and field team is set to compete at the Outdoor Ohio Athletic Conference Championships on Friday, Apr. 28 - Saturday, Apr. 29 in New Concord, Ohio ... All 10 OAC teams will be competing at the meet ... Day one of the meet will feature field events and running events, with the first field event kicking off at noon ... The women's pole vault will open the meet ... Sophomore All-American Maddy Reed enters the meet with the third highest vault nationally and the highest leap in the OAC ... The women's 100-meter hurdles will be the first track event of the championships ... Day two of the championships will begin at 10 am with men's shot put ... The women's 4x100-meter relay will be the first running event of the final day of competition ... The Polar Bears enter the meet after posting a first place finish at the Polar Bear Invitational on Senior Day ... Seniors Nicole Huber, Rebecca Carman, Kelsey Commager, Kendra Paul, Elizabeth Martin and Reed all each posted first place finishes to lead Northern in the meet ... Huber won the 800-meter run in 2:23.67, while Carman won the 100-meter hurdles in :15.48 ... Commager led a 1-2 punch in the triple jump with a leap of 36' 2.00", while Carman finished second with a jump of 35' 3.25" ... Paul took first place in the javelin for ONU, beating the field by nearly 18 feet, winning the event with a throw of 122' 10.00" ... Senior Allie Gast took second place in the event with a toss of 104' 11.00" ... Martin claimed the 3,000-meter steeplechase title, winning the event in 13:16.79 ... In the pole vault Reed led a 1-2-4 finish as she won the event with a vault of 12' 6.75" ... Junior National Champion Emily Richards enters the meet with the fastest time nationally in both the 800-meter run and 1,500-meter run ... Richards also owns the fastest time in the OAC in the 400-meter dash ... The junior will look to repeat as the OAC Distance Runner of the Year ... Commager enters the meet with the best mark in the OAC in the triple jump ... She also ranks 21st nationally in the event.
