Women's Track & Field to open 2017 season at OAC Split Meet

ADA -- The Ohio Northern women's track and field team will open its 2017 campaign Jan. 21 at the Ohio Athletic Conference Split Meet under the guidance of 8th-year head coach Jason Maus.
Northern will host the OAC Split Meet at the ONU Sports Center Fieldhouse on Jan. 21.
The Polar Bears will then travel to the Grand Valley State (Mich.) Invitational on Jan. 28 before returning home to host the annual Joe Banks Invitational on Feb. 4.
ONU will also host the annual Polar Bear Last Chance Invitational on Mar. 3-4.
After competing at the All-Ohio Championships at Otterbein on Feb. 11, Northern will compete at DII-foe Findlay during the Findlay Oiler Open Feb. 17, and travel to Berea for the OAC Championships on Feb. 24.
The NCAA III Indoor Championships are slated for Mar. 10-11 in Naperville, Ill.
The 2017 outdoor season will open on Mar. 18 as Northern travels to New Concord for the Muskie Duals at Muskingum.
The Polar Bears will compete in six invitationals during the 2017 outdoor season, including the Cedarville Invitational on Mar. 25, the Centre (Ky.) Invitational on Apr. 1, the Ohio Wesleyan Marv Frye Invitational on Apr. 8, the annual Polar Bear Invitational on Apr. 22, the North Central (Ill.) Keeler Invitational May 11-12, and the North Central (Ill.) Gregory Invitational May 17-18.
Northern will also compete at the All-Ohio Championships at Ohio Wesleyan on Apr. 15, and the OAC Championships at Muskingum Apr. 28-29.
The NCAA III Outdoor Championships will be held at SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio and will be hosted by Mount Union May 25-27.
