Molinaro, Richards, Maus and Gantt earn top All-Great Lake Region honors

ADA — Sophomore Matt Molinaro, sophomore Emily Richards, head coach Jason Maus and assistant coach Casey Gantt all earned top All-Great Lake Region honors announced by the USTFCCCA Tuesday evening.
Moliaro was named All-Great Lake Region Male Track Athlete of the Year.
The sophomore is currently ranked second in division III in the 800-meter run in 1:48.99. He is set to compete in the National meet Friday at 5:45 pm (CST).
Richards enters the national meet ranked first in the 800-meter run in 2:05.54, posting the third fastest time in division III history. She is also currently ranked fourth in the nation in the 400-meter dash in 55.14.
The sophomore was named All-Great Lake Region Female Track Athlete of the Year. She will compete in the 800-meter run Friday at 6:00 pm (CST).
Maus earned Female Coach of the Year honors after leading the women's team to a first place regional ranking.
The team finished runner-up at the OAC Outdoor Championships by 1.5 points. His crew sent four student athletes to the NCAA Championships hosted by Wartburg College.
Gantt received Female Assistant Coach of the Year honors after being a part of the back-to-back OAC Female Coaching Staff of the Year.
During his five seasons with ONU he has overseen the sprints, jumps, and hurdle athletes. His athletes recorded 94 of the total 176.5 points scored at the OAC Outdoor Championships in 2016.
