Junior Kelsey Commager leads Women's Track & Field at the Keeler Invitational

NAPERVILLE — The Ohio Northern women's track and field team sent a select few to compete at the Keeler Invitational Thursday and Friday hosted by North Central College.
Junior Kelsey Commager led ONU as she set a new school record in the triple jump with a leap of 38 feet .25 inches.
Freshman Maddy Reed claimed a third place finish in the pole vault with a height of 12 feet 4 inches, while senior Sarah Ballmer claimed a fifth place finish with a height of 11 feet 4.25 inches.
Reed entered the meet ranked eighth in the nation with a height of 12 feet 6 inches.
Junior Meagan Ellinger, senior Michelle Mosler, senior Kristine Wagner, and sophomore Emily Richards finished third in the 4x400-meter relay in 3:57.75.
The 4x100-meter relay of junior Allie Gast, Wagner, Ellinger, and Richards finished sixth in 48.58.
Gast garnered a seventh place finish in the 100-hurdles in 14.89. She is currently ranked 15th in the nation with a season best time of 14.42.
In the hammer throw, senior Michaela Dramis finished tenth with a toss of 146 feet 3 inches.
Commager led the Polar Bears in the long jump finishing 11th with a leap of 17 feet 10.25 inches, while freshman Stephanie Walton finished 12th with a leap of 17 feet 9.75 inches and junior Rebecca Carman took 14th with a distance of 17 feet 3.25 inches.
Junior Dianna Johnson-Ward took 17th in the triple jump with a leap of 32 feet 9.75 inches.
Rebekah McCutchen garnered a 20th place finish in the 1,500 meter run in 4:52.00.
In the 5,000-meter run, freshman Ashlie Baumann finished 26th with a season best time of 18:53.44, while junior Genevieve Marchese finished 29th in 19:12.23.
The Polar Bears return to action Thursday as they travel to Delaware to compete in the Ohio Wesleyan Meet.
