Senior Michaela Dramis leads the Ohio Northern Women's Track & Field team to a 2nd place finish at the Cedarville Invitational

CEDARVILLE — Senior Michaela Dramis led the Ohio Northern women's track and field team to a 2nd place finish Saturday afternoon at the Cedarville Invitational.
The Polar Bears finished 2nd of 9 teams with 157 points.
Cedarville won the meet with 190 points.
Northern improves to 15-1 overall on the season.
Dramis claimed three top five finishes in the meet, winning the hammer throw with a pitch of 141 feet 1 inch.
She finished third in the javelin with a throw of 107 feet and fourth in the discus throw with a toss of 110 feet 4 inches.
Sophomore Kendra Paul won the javelin with a distance of 130 feet 7 inches.
The 4x100 meter relay team of junior Allie Gast, junior Michelle Mosler, junior Kelsey Commager, and junior Meagan Ellinger also claimed a first place finish with a time of 50.44.
In the 100-meter run, Gast won the event with a time of 12.60 and finished third in the 200-meter run in 26.71.
Ellinger claimed a second place finish in the 400-meter dash in 1:00.83.
Senior Kristine Wagner finished second in the long jump with a leap of 17 feet .5 inches.
In the 400-hurdles, Mosler finished second in 1:07.71, followed by freshman Taylor Fisher in fifth with a time of 1:13.23.
The Polar Bears claimed four top ten finishes in the triple jump as Commager finished second with a leap of 36 feet 4 inches, freshman Stephanie Walton claimed fourth with a jump of 34 feet 7 inches, junior Dianna Johnson-Ward took fifth with a leap of 34 feet 6.75 inches and sophomore Elizabeth Werner claimed eighth with a distance of 31 feet 4.50 inches.
Freshman Tia Harris garnered a third place finish in the shot put with a toss of 38 feet 6.25 inches.
Commager also claimed a third place finish in the long jump with a leap of 16 feet 9.75 inches.
Walton finished fourth in the event with a distance of 16 feet 9.25 inches.
In the high jump, freshman Mallory Weininger and senior Julie Amos tied for sixth place with a height of 4 feet 10.25 inches. Sophomore Megan McClain finished ninth with a height of 4 feet 6.25 inches.
Harris also claimed a fifth place finish in the discus with a distance of 109 feet 4 inches, followed by freshman Rachel Foust in seventh with a toss of 99 feet 4 inches.
Gast also garnered a top five finish in the javelin, finishing fifth with a toss of 103 feet 6 inches.
The Polar Bears also had great success in the pole vault as senior Sarah Ballmer claimed sixth with a height of 10 feet 4.25 inches, followed by sophomore Kelly Wollenslegal in seventh and senior Gabrielle Heck in eighth.
Wagner claimed sixth place finishes in the 100-hurdles in 16.75 and the javelin with a distance of 99 feet 4 inches, while freshman Sydney McCluer claimed a ninth place finish in the 400-meter dash in 1:04.99 and Rebekah McCutchen finished tenth in the 1,500-meter run in 4:59.57.
Sophomore Emily Richards also competed at the Raleigh Relays today, winning the 800-meter run with the fastest national qualfying time and a personal best time of 2:07.05.
The Polar Bears return to action Saturday as they compete at the Centre (Ky.) Invitaitonal.
