McCutchen, Marchese, Sorg lead Women's Indoor Track & Field on Day 2 of the Findlay Oiler Opener

FINDLAY — Senior Rebekah McCutchen, junior Genevieve Marchese and senior Margaret Sorg finished 3-4-5 in the 3,000-meter run to lead the Ohio Northern women's indoor track and field team at the Finday Oiler Opener meet on Saturday at the Malcolm Athletic Center.
McCutchen was third in 10:59.31, Marchese was fourth in 11:02.80 and Sorg was fifth in 11:11.58.
All three women set personal records and qualified for the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships with their efforts.
The meet was not scored.
On Friday, Senior Kristine Wagner broke the Ohio Northern school record in the Pentathlon. She finished the five events with a school record 3,020 points, placing fourth our of seven athletes.
She was fourth in the high jump by clearing 5' 1", was fourth in the long jump with a leap of 15' 10 1/4", was fourth in the shot put with a toss of 30', was fifth in the 800-meter run in 2:36.59 and was fifth in the 60-meter hurdles in :09.84.
Sophomore Kelly Andrews was ninth in the women's weight throw event with a toss of 44' 10 1/4".
On the men's side, junior Lucas Shumate was fifth in the weight throw with a toss of 55' 8 1/2".
