Women’s 4x400-Meter Relay Teams take first and second place as the Women's Track & Field placed second at the Cedarville Invitational

CEDARVILLE — The Ohio Northern Women's track team placed second at the Cedarville Invitational track meet hosted at Cedarville University's Yellow Jacket Track & Field Complex. The Polar Bears scored 149 points overall.
First and second place in the 4x400 meter relay race went to the Polar Bears. The first place team of senior Gabrielle Metzner, sophomore Meagan Ellinger, sophomore Michelle Mosler, and freshman Emily Richards finished the event in 4:10.31.
Junior Kristine Wagner, freshman Alexis Kandel, junior Rebekah McCutchen, and senior Catie Huber formed the second place team, which posted a time of 4:19.42.
Metzner won the triple jump with a distance of 34-09.50. Junior Kelsey Commager placed third in the event with a leap of 33-11.25.
Metzner also placed second in the 100-meter hurdles in 15.75 seconds.
Ellinger placed second in the 200-meter dash in 27.74 seconds
Richards took second place in the 400-meter dash in 59.60 seconds.
Junior Kristine Wagner placed second in the long jump with a leap of 16-07.00. Sophomore Kelsey Commager placed third in the event, jumping a distance of 15-11.05.
Sophomore Allison Gast placed third in the 100-meter dash in 13.26 seconds.
Freshman Kendra Paul and junior Michaela Dramis finished second and fourth in the javelin throw respectively. Paul's throw measured 100-06, while Dramis recorded a throw of 87-10.
Dramis also placed third in the hammer throw with a pitch of 138-03.
Junior Julie Amos placed third in the high jump with a height of 4-10.25.
Junior Sarah Ballmer earned third place in the pole vault, clearing a height of 10-06.00.
Huber placed fifth in the 800-meter run in 2:26.18.
The Polar Bears will return to action on April 4 as they compete in the Ohio Wesleyan Frye Invitational.
