Senior Gabrielle Metzner sets school record in 60-meter hurdles to lead Women's Indoor Track & Field at All-Ohio Championships

ADA – The Ohio Northern women's track and field team earned 44 points as they placed fifth in the All-Ohio DIII Track & Field Championships at Otterbein University's Rike Center in Westerville on Saturday.
Ohio Northern improves to 38-5 overall.
Senior Gabrielle Metzner finished third in the 60-meter hurdles in 9.08 setting a new school record and breaking her previous record of 9.14 set last year.
She was also a member of the 4x400 meter relay team, which earned fourth place in 4:11.23.
Sophomore Meagan Ellinger, junior Brittany Lee, and junior Michelle Mosler competed alongside Metzner on the 4x400 meter relay team.
Junior Julie Amos placed second in the high jump with a jump of 5'2.25".
Sophomore Rebecca Carman finished second in the long jump with a leap of 17'11.25" moving into second all-time in ONU history breaking the previous record of 17'8.75'' set by Aubrie Stechschulte in 2009.
Junior Rebekah McCutchen placed fifth in the mile in 5:20.73.
The Polar Bears will return to action on February 21 at the Last Call meet at Capital.
