Women's Outdoor Track & Field finishes sixth at OAC Outdoor Championships

BEREA -- The Ohio Northern women's outdoor track & field team finished in sixth place at the OAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday afternoon at Finnie Stadium on the campus of Baldwin Wallace.
The Polar Bears finished the meet with 67.5 points.
Mount Union won the team title with 202 points, Baldwin Wallace was second with 160 points and Otterbein finished third with 117.5 points.
ONU had two individuals and one relay earn All-OAC honors on the second day.
Junior Gabrielle Metzner finished third in the 110-meters in 14.71 seconds and junior Catie Huber was third in the 1,500-meter run in 4:41.68.
Metzner also teamed with sophomore Brittany Lee, freshman Meagan Ellinger and freshman Allison Gast for a third place finish in the 4x100-meter relay in 50.63 seconds.
Junior Sam Hoffman was fourth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, crossing in 11:40.12.
In the 400-meter hurdles, freshman Michelle Mosler was fourth in 1:08.77 and sophomore Kristine Wagner was seventh in 1:09.54.
The 4x400-meter relay team of Lee, Metzner, Moseler and Wagner finished fourth in 4:07.62.
Freshman Dianna Johnson-Ward finished in fifth in the triple jump, with a leap of 10.44 meters (34-3.00).
In the discus, sophomore McKenna Earley finished sixth and senior Raven McLure was eight, with throws of 34.34 meters (112-8) and 33.47 meters (109-10).
Sophomore Julie Amos finished in a tie for second in the high jump, clearing 1.52 meters (4-11.75).
Sophomore Kara Sosinski recorded a seventh place finish in the 5,000-meter run in 18:55.51 and senior Laura Avino was eighth in the 800-meter run in 2:21.87.
Ohio Northern will compete again at the Dr. Keeler Invite at North Central (Ill.) on May 8 and May 9.
