Women's Outdoor Track & Field sits in sixth place after Day 1 of OAC Championships

BEREA -- The Ohio Northern women's outdoor track & field team sits in sixth place after Day 1 of the OAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Friday evening on the campus of Baldwin Wallace.
ONU has 16 points after the first day of events.
Baldwin Wallace leads the meet with 50 points, Mount Union is second with 48 points and Otterbein is third with 36 points.
Sophomore Kara Sosinski paced the Polar Bears on the first day, earning All-OAC honors in the 10,000-meter run with a third place finish in 38:29.23.
The 4x800-meter relay tandem of senior Laura Avino, senior Erin Radigan, junior Catie Huber and freshman Nicole Huber finished fourth in 9:39.40.
Sophomore Michaela Dramis recorded a sixth place finish in the hammer with a throw of 42.64 meters (139-11).
Freshman Dianna Johnson-Ward finished seventh in the long jump, leaping 5.06 meters (16-7.50).
The Polar Bears will compete in Day 2 of the OAC Championships on Saturday. Field events will start at 10 am and running events begin at 2 pm.
