Women's Indoor Track & Field sits in seventh place after Day 1 of OAC Championships

ALLIANCE -- The Ohio Northern women's indoor track & field team is tied for seventh place after the first day of the OAC Championships in Peterson Fieldhouse on the campus of Mount Union.
The Polar Bears have 11 points after the first day of competition.
Mount Union holds the lead with 49.50 points, followed by Otterbein with 41.50 points and Baldwin Wallace with 27 points.
Northern had two individuals and one relay place during the first day.
The distance medley relay team consisting of senior Laura Avino, senior Erin Radigan, junior Catie Huber and freshman Michelle Mosler finished fourth in 12:46.71.
Freshman Dianna Johnson-Ward finished fifth in the long jump, with a leap of 5.11 meters.
Junior Sam Hoffman finished seventh in the 3,000-meter run in 10:51.34.
The second day of competition begins on Saturday with field events at 10 am and running events at 2 pm.
