Women's Indoor Track & Field finishes fourth at OAC Split Meet

ADA -- The Ohio Northern women's indoor track & field team finished fourth at the OAC North Split Meet on Saturday afternoon at the ONU Sports Center.
ONU finished with 71.75 points.
Mount Union won the meet with 213 points, Baldwin Wallace finished second with 111.75 points and John Carroll was third with 107 points.
The distance medley team consisting of Senior Erin Radigan, senior Brooke Larsen, junior Catie Huber and freshman Michelle Mosler notched a second place finish in 12:56.25.
The 4x200-meter relay team of junior Gabrielle Metzner, freshman Allison Gast, sophomore Brittany Lee and freshman Meagan Ellinger recorded a second place finish in 1:50.47.
Gast also placed third in the 60-meter hurdles in 9.60 seconds and was fifth in the 60-meter dash in 8.28 seconds.
Senior Laura Avino finished third in the 800-meter run in 2:24.86 and sophomore Gabrielle Heck finished third in pole vault clearing 2.6 meters.
Lee also finished fourth in the 200m dash in 27.95 seconds, with Metzner finishing right behind in fifth place in 27.99 seconds.
Sophomore Julie Amos took fourth in the women's high jump clearing 1.44m metes.
In the 40-meter dash, sophomore Kristine Wagner finished third, while Lee was fourth in 1:04.35 and 1:04.50, respectively.
Sophmore Kara Sosinski finished fifth in the 5000-meter run in 19:23.45 and junior Samantha Hoffman was sixth in 19:31.91.
Freshman Rebecca Carman finished the 60-meter hurdles in sixth in 9.87 seconds.
Ohio Northern will return to action on Feb. 8, when it hosts the Joe Banks Invitational. Field events will begin at 11 am, with running events starting at noon.
