Blum, Huber lead Women's Track & Field at season opening Northwest Ohio Meet

FINDLAY -- Senior Emily Blum and junior Catie Huber each finished fourth in their respective events, to lead the Ohio Northern women's track & field team at the season opening Northwest Ohio Meet on Friday evening.
The meet was unscored.
Blum finished fourth in the triple jump, posting a leap of 10.17 meters (33-04.50).
Huber was fourth in the 1-mile run, crossing the finish line in 5:23.40.
The 4x400 relay team of junior Gabrielle Metzner, sophomore Brittany Lee, freshman Morgan Rouch and Huber finished seventh in 4:18.94.
Lee also notched a 10th place finish in the 300-meter dash with a time of 45.28 seconds.
Senior Erin Radigan finished eighth in the 800-meter run in 2:27.30 and senior Laura Avino was 10th in the 500-meter run in 1:22.80.
Freshman Kelsey Commager recorded a sixth place finish in the triple jump, covering 10.04 meters (32-11.25) and a ninth place finish in the long jump with a leap of 4.77 meters (15-07.75).
Ohio Northern will return to competition on January 25, when it participates in the Defiance College Invitational.
