Women's Outdoor Track & Field team wins OAC Black Split Meet at Wilmington

WILMINGTON — The Ohio Northern women's outdoor track and field team won the OAC Black Split Meet hosted by Wilmington on Saturday.
The Polar Bears (9-4-1) finished first of five teams with 156 points.
Following the Polar Bears in second place was Capital with 148 points, Heidelberg was third with 133 points, followed by Otterbein in fourth with 119 points and Wilmington in fifth with 50 points.
Senior Aubrie Stechschulte and sophomores Emily Blum and Vicki Moga each won their respective field events, while junior Alison Steinbrunner, freshman Caitlin Huber and ONU's 4x800 relay team won running events.
Stechschulte won the pole vault by clearing 10'6'', Blum won the triple jump with a mark of 33'8.5'' and Moga cleared 5'.25'' to win the high jump.
Steinbrunner won the 1500-meter run in 4:45.61, Huber won the 800 in 2:24.58 and the 4x800 relay team won in 10:16.38.
The Polar Bears are back in action April 14 at the All-Ohio Championships hosted by Ohio Wesleyan.
