ONU's Track & Field teams compete at the 27th Annual Toledo Invitational
TOLEDO — Members of the Polar Bear track and field teams competed at the 27th Annual Toledo Invitational, Thursday and Friday at the Toledo Track Complex.
On the men's side, senior Tim Polack (Medina) had a busy weekend, competing in three events at the invitational. He ran in the 110-meter hurdles finishing in 16.25. He also competed in the long jump (6.09 meters) and high jump (1.78 meters).
Senior Jason Aukerman competed in two events throughout the weekend. He placed third in the javelin at 45.88 meters and sixth in the hammer throw at 36.28 meters.
Junior Jacob Rettig (McClure/Patrick Henry) competed in the 5,000 meter run finishing third overall in 16:05.93, while senior Travis Isenberg (Kingsville/Edgewood) was behind him in eighth place at 16:50.17.
Also running in the 5,000 was senior Patrick Rachow (Strongsville) and Stephen Graessle (Chesapeake, Va./Grassfield).
For the women, senior Courtney Zupancic (North Ridgeville) competed in the hammer throw, finishing with a mark of 41.10 meters.
Sophomore Vicki Moga (Stow/Monroe Falls) tried to best her NCAA provisional mark in the high jump but only cleared 1.57 meters.
Senior Tabitha Moody (Orwell/Grand Valley) ran in the 5,000 meter run and crossed the finish line in 21:21.16.
Also competing for the women were Hannah Livengood (Norwalk/Saint Paul) in the discuss, and junior Vyta Kavaliauskas (Parkman/Cardinal) and freshman Erin Radigan (Johnstown/Monroe) in the 800-meter run,
Next up for ONU is the Dr. Keeler Invitational hosted by North Central (Ill.), next Thursday and Friday.
