Women's Track & Field compete at the All-Ohio Outdoor Championships
DELAWARE — The Ohio Northern women's track & field team finished 11th of 19 teams at Saturday afternoon's All-Ohio Outdoor Championships, hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University.
The Polar Bears finished with 29 points and moves to 13-15 overall this season.
Taking the championship was the host school with 95 points, followed by Mount Union (84), Baldwin-Wallace (81), Capital (74), and Marietta (72).
Top finishes for Ohio Northern included junior Mallory Bloom's (Kenton) third-place finish in the 5,000-meter run in 18:16.56, who followed by junior Kelly Casanova (Copley) in 18:19.48.
Sophomore Vicki Moga (Stow/Monroe Falls) took third in the high jump, clearing a height of 5-0.25.
Senior Courtney Zupancic (North Ridgeville) earned fifth in the shot put with a tossing distance of 36-1.25. She also finished sixth in the hammer throw at 139-3.
Other top finishes went to sophomore Lydia Weaver (Chillicothe/Zane Trace), senior Amanda Binkey (Latrobe, Pa.) and freshman Kayti Kintner (Sunbury/Big Walnut) finishing sixth, seventh and tenth respectively in the 1,500-meter run.
Weaver crossed the finish line in 4:57.40, while Binkey finished in 4:59.34 and Kintner in 5:04.65.
The Polar Bears travel to Gambier next Saturday to compete in the Kenyon Invitational; the first event is scheduled for 11 a.m.
