Women's Outdoor Track & Field starts outdoor schedule at UC Early Bird Relays

CINCINNATI — The Ohio Northern women's outdoor track & field team scored 26 points on Saturday afternoon at the Early Bird Relays hosted by Cincinnati.
The Polar Bears finished in third place of six NCAA Division III and NAIA institutions competing in the field.
Dayton won the event with 112.5 points, while host Cincinnati was second with 106 points.
Freshman Vicki Moga turned in the best Polar Bear finish of the day in the high jump. Moga tied for second by clearing 5-2.25.
Freshman Alison Steinbrunner also had a top-5 finish for Ohio Northern, earning fourth place in the 1,500-meter run in a time of 4:49.65.
Sophomore Alyssa Reiter and freshman Emily Blum each had 12th-place finishes, while junior Amanda Binkey and sophomore Kelly Casanova each had 14th-place finishes.
Reiter finished the 400-meter dash in 1:01.51, and Blum jumped 30-5 in the triple jump. Binkey ran the 800-meter run in 2:26.19, while Casanova ran the 5,000-meter run in 18:38.20.
Ohio Northern will be in action on Friday and Saturday at the two-day W&L/VMI Carnival.
