Freshman Jenna Bell named OAC Women’s Tennis Player of the Week

ADA — Ohio Northern freshman Jenna Bell (Latrobe, Pa.) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week, sponsored by Midstream Lighting, for the week of April 10-16.
This marks the first career OAC Athlete of the Week honor for Bell. It comes after she went 3-1 in matches against Otterbein and Capital during the week.
In ONU's 8-1 loss to Otterbein, Bell scored the Polar Bears' lone point in a 6-3, 6-4 win at No. 3 singles while falling 8-6 in a tight match at No. 1 doubles.
She added a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 3 singles and 8-4 win at No. 1 doubles in ONU's 9-0 victory over Capital.
On the season, Bell is 14-4 in singles play and 10-10 in doubles, giving her an overall record of 24-14.
The Polar Bears return to action on Tuesday when they host Baldwin Wallace at 3:30 p.m.
