Saturday's Match: The Polar Bears close out their regular-season schedule on Saturday with a match at Ohio Athletic Conference foe John Carroll … ONU and JCU are currently tied for second place in the conference standings behind Otterbein … The teams are playing for the No. 2 seed and a first-round bye in the OAC Tournament, which is scheduled for May 3-7 … The Polar Bears are coming off Wednesday's 5-4 loss at Ohio Wesleyan … Northern was led by sixth-year senior Katie Curry and junior Regan Landis, who were responsible for three of the four ONU points in the match … Curry and Landis won 8-6 at No. 3 doubles, Curry won 6-1, 6-3 at No. 3 singles, and Landis won 6-4, 6-1 at No. 2 singles … Freshman Katie O'Connell won 6-1, 6-1 at No. 6 singles for ONU's fourth point … Landis (35-10), freshman Miranda Wills (33-17) and O'Connell (30-4) lead Northern in overall wins this season … O'Connell is a team-best 21-4 in singles play, while Landis is 20-4, and Wills is 18-7 … Junior Jeorgia Templin (18-4) leads ONU in doubles wins, followed by Landis (15-6) and Wills (15-10) … Curry is 89-21 in singles, 74-54 in doubles and is 163-75 in her career … She is only one singles win shy of tying the school record of 90 held by Mackenzie Wills … Curry also ranks third all-time with 163 overall wins and is seventh with 74 doubles wins … John Carroll is the defending OAC Tournament champion and enters Saturday's match coming off Friday's 6-3 home win over Baldwin Wallace … The Blue Streaks won two of the three doubles courts with a 8-3 victory at No. 2 doubles from Mia Zivkovic and Caroline Chandler and an 8-2 victory at No. 2 doubles from Emily Duckett and Morgan Little … Megan Reese won 6-1, 6-1 at No. 1 singles, Peyton Crumpler won 7-5, 6-2 at No. 4 singles, Jaclyn Voss won 6-2, 6-2 at No. 5 singles, and Duckett won 7-5, 6-3 at No. 6 singles.

Series Record: John Carroll leads the all-time series with ONU by a 23-18 margin … JCU has won each of the last eight meetings, including a 5-4 road victory last season.

Interim Head Coach Mike Bonnell: Bonnell took over the program on Feb. 21 and has a 9-4 record, a winning percentage of .692 ... Bonnell is also in year six as head coach of the ONU Men's Team ... He is 71-37 coaching women's tennis overall after leading the Ohio Dominican women from 2001-05.
