ADA — The Ohio Northern women's tennis team got a pair of wins on Saturday, defeating Concordia (Mich.) 7-2 and Muskingum 9-0.
The match against Concordia was played at ONU's West Campus Courts, but rain forced the match against Muskingum indoors at the Findlay YMCA.
Saturday's victories improved the Polar Bears to 6-0 overall as they closed out the fall portion of their schedule.
Muskingum ended the day at 3-4 overall after splitting with Concordia and ONU in the tri-match, while Concordia dropped to 0-6.
Against Concordia, the Polar Bears swept the doubles matches and got singles wins from junior Regan Landis (Elkhart. Ind./Concord) and freshmen Miranda Wills (Ada), Katie O'Connell (Novi, Mich./Saint Catherine) and Julianne Sheldon (Ashtabula/Saint John).
Northern carried that momentum into the match against Muskingum, sweeping all six singles matches and three doubles matches.
Landis and Wills both finished a perfect 4-0 on the day over the course of their singles and doubles matches.
Sheldon finished 3-0, and O'Connell was 2-0.
