Women's Tennis: Ohio Northern (2-0 Overall) at Allegheny (Pa.) Invitational

Saturday's tournament: The Ohio Northern women's tennis team will travel east to compete in the Allegheny (Pa.) Invitational on Saturday ... The 4-team tournament will begin at 8:30 am with ONU and host Allegheny (Pa.) playing in one semifinal and Fairmont State (W.Va.) and Baldwin Wallace in the other semifinal ... The winners will play for the title and the losers will play for third place immediately following the semifinals ... The Polar Bears are coming off a solid performance at the Oberlin Invitational Sept. 7-8 ... Senior Katie Curry was one of five Polar Bears to post a 3-3 record in the event ... She joined sophomores Olivia Schrager and Abigail Staskiewicz and freshmen Regan Landis and Florine Sanchez with 3-3 records ... All five players went 2-1 in singles and 1-2 in doubles ... Thus far this season, Curry and Landis lead ONU with a 4-1 singles record, a 3-2 doubles mark and a 7-3 overall record.

Head Coach Scott Wills: Wills is in his 19th season at the helm of the ONU women's tennis program … He currently stands first in coaching victories among all active Ohio college tennis coaches (NCAA DI, DII, DIII, and NAIA) and is the winningest coach in school history with a 370-99 (.789) record, including a 140-15 (.903) mark in regular season conference competition … He has also coached the program to eight regular season conference crowns and six OAC Tournament titles.
