Wednesday's Match Notes: The Ohio Northern women's tennis program continues its 2018-19 Ohio Athletic Conference slate Wednesday afternoon with a home dual against Baldwin Wallace ... Match time is set for 3:30 p.m. at the University Tennis Courts in Ada ... ONU enters the match sporting a 12-4 overall record and a 2-0 mark in the OAC ... The Polar Bears are coming off a 7-0 victory over Aurora (Ill.) and a 7-2 loss to NCAA Division I foe Valparaiso (Ind.) over the weekend ... In the Aurora match, junior Katie Curry and freshman Abigail Staskiewicz each went 2-0 to lead ONU to victory ... This season, junior Mackenzie Wills leads the team with a 17-3 singles record and a 34-7 overall record ... Meanwhile, Wills and senior Ashley Ochsenhirt both own a 17-4 doubles record to pace the team ... Curry stands second in singles play at 15-7, and freshman Olivia Schrager is third at 14-9 ... Curry also ranks third in doubles play with an 11-9 record ... Wills (117-40 overall) and Ochsenhirt (109-42) have each become members of ONU's 100-Win Club this season ... The Yellow Jackets enter Wednesday's match sporting a 1-10 overall record and a 1-1 OAC mark ... They are coming off a 9-0 loss to John Carroll last Wednesday ... Sophomores Ashytn Morris and Jayde Robinson lead the team with five singles wins each ... Morris also leads the team with five doubles wins and 10 overall wins.

Head Coach Scott Wills: Wills is in his 18th season at the helm of the ONU women's tennis program … He currently stands first in coaching victories among all active Ohio college tennis coaches (NCAA DI, DII, DIII, and NAIA) and is the winningest coach in school history with a 360-96 (.789) record, including a 136-14 (.907) mark against conference competition … He has also coached the program to eight regular season conference crowns and six OAC Tournament titles.
