Women's Tennis sweeps Saint Francis (Ind.) 9-0

ADA — The Ohio Northern women's tennis team lost only eight games en route to a convincing 9-0 victory over NAIA opponent Saint Francis (Ind.) on Sunday afternoon at the Westwood Tennis and Fitness Center.
The Polar Bears improve to 9-3 on the season, while the Cougars fall to 2-15.
Senior Ashley Ochsenhirt (Birmingham, Ala./Briarwood Christian), junior Katie Curry (Oxford/Talawanda), freshman Abigail Staskiewicz (Mars, Pa./Oakland Catholic) and junior Jordan Dodson (Worthington) all won their singles matches by 6-0, 6-0 scores at Nos., 1, 3, 4 and 6, respectively.
Ochsenhirt and junior Mackenzie Wills (Ada) won 8-0 at No. 1 doubles.
Freshman Olivia Schrager (Dayton/Miami Valley) won at No. 2 singles 6-2, 6-0 and Wills won at No. 5 singles 6-2, 6-0.
Schrager and junior Kaleigh Cummins (Mars, Pa./Oakland Catholic) won 8-2 at No. 2 doubles and Curry and Staskiewicz won 8-2 at No. 3 doubles.
The Polar Bears will begin the Ohio Athletic Conference portion of their schedule on Saturday against Mount Union.
